Halstead Green Farm is located in a quiet rural area but the house is neither isolated nor surrounded by extensive private grounds. Please be aware at all times that there are close neighbours with properties that overlook and adjoin the garden area. Particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic, many neighbours are confined to their homes and gardens and some are working from home. In addition the property includes and adjoins fields that are let for sheep grazing and it is very important that the sheep/ lambs and any other farm animals are not disturbed by loud noises, flashing or other lights or other inappropriate behaviour. The nearby moorlands are an important habitat for rare birds and these too can be disturbed, particularly in the spring nesting season. For these reasons we ask that you respect our neighbours' rights to the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of their homes and workplaces and behave in a way that is sensitive to the rural environment. The house is only suitable for families / households looking for a peaceful break in the countryside or workers willing to minimise disturbance to others. It should not at any time be considered to be a 'party' destination.
1. Please arrive and leave as quietly as possible.
2. Please park sensitively and quietly, particularly in the evening or after dark. Do not at any time park on or block the access tracks to the property gate as these are used by other residents to access their properties. Try not to rev engines or move cars around on the drive unnecessarily. Park on Edge Lane only when deemed necessary, for a short period.
3. Please keep noise and disturbance to a minimum at all times. The playing of loud music, shouting and singing is not allowed either inside the property or in the garden area.
4. The use of fireworks and night lanterns are strictly forbidden at the property.
5. Please do not use the neighbours' bins to dispose of your rubbish. All recycling should be sorted in line with Calderdale Council's guidance and placed by the utility room back door or put out for collection early on Thursday mornings. Non-recyclable waste should be put in blue or black bin bags and placed in or nest to the black outside dustbin. Please see the Calderdale recycling information in the kitchen.
